The Tisdale: Costco's famous couch

If you've heard of one Costco couch, it's this one. The Thomasville Tisdale modular sectional had 11,029 member reviews on October 22, 2026, averaging 4.6 stars, more than three times as many as the next most-reviewed sectional, the Thomasville Lowell 6-piece (3,238). Its 6 modular pieces can be arranged in different layouts, it seats 5, and Costco lists it as rated to 1,500 lb.

Laid out as an L it takes 11.9 ft by 5.9 ft of floor (about 143 × 71 inches), plus a 34-inch storage ottoman. It weighs 376 lb in all, and being modular, it comes as separate pieces, which is what gets a couch this size through a doorway.

Modular, reclining, sleeper or stationary?

Of the sectionals on Costco.com that day:

• Modular

  Separate pieces you can rearrange, like the Tisdale, Lowell and Corvin. Easiest to get into a home and to reconfigure when you move.

• Reclining

  Power recliners, usually with power headrests, cup holders and USB ports, like the Simms and Wylder. Heaviest of all: both weigh close to 500 lb.

• Sleeper

  Pull-out or convertible beds, like the Coddle Cameron (queen) and Thomasville Caler. 7 sectionals were convertible.

• Stationary

  A fixed shape, often with a chaise (12 sectionals had one), like the Broyhill Oswin.

Fabric outnumbered leather 39 to 18, and most sectionals seat 5 or 6.

Delivery and returns
