OLED, Mini LED, QLED or LED?
The panel decides the picture more than the brand does. Here's what each type is, and what a 65-inch one cost at Costco on October 22, 2026:
| Panel | Models | 65-inch price range | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| OLED | 24 | $1,299.99–$1,999.99 | Every pixel makes its own light, so black is truly black and contrast is the best you can buy. Best in a dim room; usually the most expensive per inch. |
| Mini LED | 37 | $429.99–$1,599.99 | An LCD lit by thousands of tiny LEDs in zones that dim independently. Much brighter than OLED, so it shines in sunny rooms, with very good (not perfect) blacks. Costco carries more of these than anything else. |
| QLED | 13 | $429.99–$1,199.99 | An LCD with a quantum-dot layer for richer color. Good value in the middle of the range; contrast depends on the backlight. |
| LED | 14 | $379.99–$899.99 | The standard LCD. The cheapest way to a big 4K screen; fine for daytime TV and casual watching. |
If you watch in a bright room or mostly daytime TV and sports, Mini LED is the safer buy; if you watch films at night with the lights down, OLED is worth the premium. QLED and standard LED are where the big-screen bargains are.
What size TV should you get?
A common rule of thumb for 4K is to sit between 1 and 1.5 times the screen's diagonal away. Here are the sizes Costco sells, drawn to scale above a 7-foot sofa:
| Screen | Width × height | Sit about |
|---|---|---|
| 43 inches | 37 × 21 in | 3.6–5.4 ft |
| 55 inches | 48 × 27 in | 4.6–6.9 ft |
| 65 inches | 57 × 32 in | 5.4–8.1 ft |
| 75 inches | 65 × 37 in | 6.3–9.4 ft |
| 85 inches | 74 × 42 in | 7.1–10.6 ft |
| 98 inches | 85 × 48 in | 8.2–12.3 ft |
Measure the wall or stand too: the screen is the width above, and the TV's frame and feet add a little more.
Warranty, returns and delivery: the Costco difference
The best reason to buy a TV at Costco often isn't the price. According to Costco's own support pages:
Up to 2 years of warranty
Costco extends the manufacturer's warranty on TVs for up to 2 years from purchase (or delivery, for online orders), through Costco Technical and Warranty Services, with free US-based tech support.
Up to 5 years of coverage
Many TVs on Costco.com include a 3-year Allstate Protection Plan in the bundle; with Costco’s 2 years first, Costco says that is up to 5 years in total.
90 days to return
Televisions can be returned within 90 days of the day you received them. Most other Costco items have no deadline; electronics are the exception.
Shipping and set-up
The TV pages we checked listed free shipping in the online price. Delivery doesn’t include set-up: basic set-up was offered for $30 (no wall mounting), and some TVs could be picked up at a warehouse instead.
More on returns in our Costco TV return policy guide.
Getting money back when TV prices drop
TV prices at Costco move constantly: 54 of the TVs we saw had a limited-time price with an end date. If the price of a TV you bought drops within 30 days, Costco's price adjustment policy gets you the difference.

Costco lowers the price: a limited-time offer, an instant saving, or a markdown.

Costco.com orders: the online price adjustment form. Warehouse: the membership counter with your receipt.
In the warehouse, look at the cents. The TCL 75" Q77K was $399.97 that day, and a price ending in .97 usually means a markdown; our guide to Costco price codes explains the rest. And the biggest TV offers usually land around Black Friday.

What warranty do Costco TVs come with?+
Costco extends the manufacturer's warranty on televisions for up to 2 years from the date of purchase (or delivery, for online orders) through Costco Technical and Warranty Services, which also gives free tech support. Many TVs on Costco.com also include a 3-year Allstate Protection Plan, which Costco says adds up to 5 years of total coverage.
How long do you have to return a TV to Costco?+
Televisions have a 90-day return window, counted from the date you received the TV. Most other Costco merchandise can be returned at any time; TVs, computers and other electronics are the main exception.
Does Costco price adjust TVs?+
Yes. If a TV you bought drops in price within 30 days, Costco's price adjustment policy lets you ask for the difference: Costco.com orders through the online price adjustment form, warehouse purchases at the membership counter. Costco treats online and warehouse prices separately, and decides final eligibility.
When are TVs cheapest at Costco?+
Costco runs limited-time TV prices all year; on October 22, 2026 54 TVs on Costco.com showed a promotional price with an end date, the latest running through Nov 30. The biggest TV events are usually around Black Friday, and a TV bought up to 30 days before a sale can still get the difference back through a price adjustment.
What TV brands does Costco sell?+
On October 22, 2026 Costco.com listed TVs from Samsung, LG, TCL, Sony, Hisense and Roku. Samsung had the most models (42).
